Last updated October 11, 2026. Draft for review by a lawyer before launch.
What we collect
- Your first name, and your email and home ZIP if you choose to add them.
- Your crews: resorts, snow threshold, meet time, and who's in each crew.
- What you do on powder days: RSVPs, carpool seats offered or needed, and check-ins.
- For check-ins, your device location is used once to confirm you're at the resort. We keep only the resort and whether it was confirmed, never your coordinates.
What crew members see
Crew members see your first name, your RSVP, your carpool status, and your check-ins for that crew. Your email and ZIP are never shown to anyone. People who aren't in a crew see only its name, description, resorts, and member count. If a crew is on the public leaderboard, anyone can also see its season stats (points, powder days, days together, turnout, badges), but never who's in it. Open crews appear on the leaderboard by default, and invite-only crews appear only if their organizer turns it on.
How we use it
- To run PowderCalls: calling powder days, building calendar invites, and matching carpools.
- To understand how skiers use the Wasatch. We record activity such as crews created, RSVPs, and check-ins by resort and date, without names or emails.
- PowderCalls is free. To keep it free, we may share or sell aggregated, de-identified insights (for example, "check-ins at Brighton on powder mornings rose 30%") with resorts, advertisers, and partners, and we may show ads.
We don't sell your name, email, or ZIP, and we don't share anything that identifies you without asking you first.
Your choices
You can leave out email and ZIP, skip check-ins, or deny location access. To delete your data, email the address below with your crew name and first name.
Age
PowderCalls is for people 18 and older.
